J.P. Harrington Bisceglia is a partner at Christian Dichter & Sluga, P.C. Her primary practice areas are insurance coverage and bad-faith litigation. She has been a Super Lawyers Rising Stars selectee since 2014, has earned the Martindale-Hubbell AV-Preeminent Rating, was invited to be an Associate Fellow by the Litigation Counsel of America (“LCA”) in 2016, and was invited to be an LCA Fellow in 2020.
J.P. Harrington Bisceglia practices in Arizona State and Federal courts and has recently been admitted to practice in New Mexico. She handles her clients’ needs from case assessment, investigation, discovery, settlement, trial and appeal. She has spent her entire legal career working in insurance defense litigation. She has represented clients in a broad range of cases including insurance coverage disputes, bad faith, medical and other professional liability claims, nursing home litigation, subrogation, and general civil litigation. Ms. Harrington Bisceglia was second-chair at a trial on bad faith and breach of insurance contract claims which resulted in a unanimous defense verdict in favor of the insurance carrier. This verdict was designated one of the ten most significant defense verdicts in 2014 by Arizona Attorney Magazine. Ms. Harrington Bisceglia has been involved in 11 trials over the course of her career, several of which were tried to verdict. She also has completed arbitrations on a variety of civil disputes.
She has presented educational material to claims adjusters, managers, and corporate counsel in private in-house settings as well as at NAMWOLF meetings and PLRB Regional Conferences.
J.P. Harrington Bisceglia has become a board member of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel and leads the group’s Diversity Task Force with the direct purpose of increasing the diversity of attorneys in the Arizona defense community. She also serves as the firm’s primary contact to NAMWOLF (National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms), where she serves on the Insurance Practice Area Committee and the Emerging Leaders Committee. She is a member of the leadership team for ATHENA Valley of the Sun, which supports, develops, and honors women leaders through programming and community development.
